Antonio Maldonado

Antonio is an attorney licensed to practice law in both the United States, in the states of California and New York, and in the country of Mexico. He has an active litigation practice in both U.S. courts, in California, and in Mexico courts. 

He is bilingual in English and Spanish with complete fluency in the legal systems of both the United States and Mexico.  He earned a Licenciatura en Derecho degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico and a Master of Laws degree from American University's Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.

Recognized by regional publications in Southern California as one of best attorneys in the areas of international law and business law, and has been rated “Superb” 10 out of 10 by Avvo.

He has many times served as an expert witness on Mexican Law in US litigation matters, in both state and federal court, having been a court-appointed expert on Mexico Law by the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County.

He is a member of the American Bar Association's Section of International Law, having served as Vice-chair of it's Mexico Committee and as a Co-chair of it's San Diego-Tijuana City Chapter. He is also an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association, having served in several leadership positions within the International Law Section for multiple years, including as its Chair. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Barrister member of the Hon. William B. Enright Inn of Court, an American Inn of Court based in San Diego, California.
